Det är från slutet av 90-talet, men visst är det lite såhär fortfarande såhär i mitten på 2007..?
Du har ett ansvar i livet, att älska dig själv så gott du kan. Det är ditt enda ansvar, ditt enda uppdrag och din enda möjlighet. Ingen annan än du själv är skyldig att göra dig lycklig, det är svårt. För dom som inte lyckas blir fulla av avund och gör allt för att du inte ska kunna älska dig själv. Dom ger tillexempel ut tidningar med perfekta människor i, för att få dig att inse att du inte duger. Dom tar vara på ditt liv och använder dig när dom ska sälja bindor och rakhyvlar och deoderant.
Men lika lite som du är skyldig dom lycka är du skyldig till deras olycka. Du har bara dig själv och ditt enda uppdrag är att vara du. Om du inte lyckats förut kan det vara en strålande bra årstid att börja på. Livet är en ensamgrej. Allting har en slut, påsklovet har ett slut, sommaren, en bra film har ett slut och när det är över är du ensam igen. Då och då är du ensam, det enda du kan komma tillbaka till är ensamheten och du måste älska den. För om du gör det kan allt annat få va hur deppigt som helst.
Framtiden kan få vara ett orosmoment, vi får höra så mycket olika saker om framtiden. Vi vet ingenting och försöker måla upp scenarion och skräckexempel och troliga situationer. Där har vi nog mycket att lära av guldfisken. Den vet ingenting om framtiden, undrar inte och oroar sig inte. En guldfisk älskar sig själv. En guldfisk lever i nuet. Den har vad jag har hört ett minne på 5 sekunder ungefär. Det har ju inte människan, vi har ju ett fantastiskt minne. Men det kan tyckas ganska meningslöst om vi ältar det istället för att bara låta det vara. Att älska sig själv är ingen att "satsa på dig själv grej", det är en "du duger som du är grej". Det får inte förväxlas med egoism.
Alla jag träffar, allt jag ser och allt jag hör är ju ingredienser i mitt liv, det liv som jag är skyldig att älska och vårda. Men jag är inte så bra på det, men jag jobbar på det. Ingenting är egentligen särskilt högtidligt eller glamoröst. Det blir vad man gör det till och snart har jag använt varenda högtravande klyscha som finns att tillgå. Det är underligt hur vissa meningar blir klyschor, bara för att man sagt de så många gånger. Hur ord blir innehållslösa, inte för att man upplevt, utan för att dom har slitits verbalt. Det är dags att uppleva klyschorna. Det är bättre med en fågel i handen, än 10 i skogen. Det är det. Man måste stå på sig och nu i slutet av 90-talet när kvantitet går före kvalitet, dom snabba klippens tid. Den hetsiga kroppsfixeringens tid. Dom tomma löftenas tid. Den innehållslösa humorns tid. Det är en tid som behöver så mycket ordspråk och klyschor över sig, så mycket att vi snart kanske kan börja leva efter dem. Att vi snart kan börja älska oss själva...
